How is SleepE different from typical sleep aids?
Most prescription sleep aids are sedatives. Ramelteon instead activates melatonin receptors — the body’s own sleep-onset pathway — so it is not classified as a controlled substance and has no known dependence profile.
Will I feel groggy in the morning?
Ramelteon is short-acting and morning grogginess is uncommon; most people wake normally. Tell your provider if you notice next-day drowsiness.
When do I take it?
